Currently search engines do not take into consideration content included in email; therefore individuals with mailing lists have the benefit of using duplicate content without being penalized. Once you have gained a decent mailing list you can create a newsletter that is SEO optimized, publish it on the net, and then blast it to the mailing list, killing two birds with one stone.
Quality Backlinks
SEO currently holds quality backlinks as one of your greatest assets. This had lead most webmasters to submit their content to social networks where they hope that people will help their link gain exposure. However, what a lot of people have overlooked is that email still works for this. How much time do you spend doing social bookmarking but leave your newsletter absent of links to other content you have created? You must start combining them as you will be able to drive more of your newsletter recipients to a place where they can literally encourage others to read them rather than just letting your messages rot in their inbox.
Goal Conversion
Never count on search engines to always drive people where you want them. Search engine rank position always changes, therefore you may find your link number one the first page one month but then on the third page 4 months later. Capitalize on what people are missing out on, and that is making sure that you include what people are looking for when searching at different times. Originally a visitor will look for information on a product, and then perhaps a review, followed by the actual sale. - Never spam, buy or rent mailing lists as this is illegal in most parts countries
- Use “Learn More” links which redirect to an email signup
- Don’t share people’s information and tell them that you will not
- Make sure that you use verified opt-in’s or double opt-ins to reduce spam issues
- Use signs, charts and graphs to explain your content as makes you appear as an expert
- Include on your site a valid physical address to your company or your employer
- Allow people the option of unsubscribing to your newsletters
- Do not always try and hard sell people through your newsletters, remember to mix
- Use HTML within your emails and not just text as it will look professional
- Use email autoresponders that are sequenced with your campaign
- Be sure to track your emails delivery, open rates, junk rates, etc
- Use a quality SMTP that will automate as much of your campaign as possible
- Emails are deemed spam when certain keywords are used, learn what they are
- A high bounce rate from your emails suggest that it needs to be cleaned
- Make sure that you tweak your campaign to increase its strength and effectiveness
- Always include a link as option which allows people to forward to friends
- Publish your emails on the web as this will allow you to see if anyone is plagiarizing

Great tips. The autoposter that I had been using for awhile wasn't that great, if you could recommend some that would be good. I also noticed that you won't be penalized when using email as normal content, depending on the system that is – I figure Google will eventually spill the beans there first before others follow.
Autoresponders come in a variety of colors and shapes but they all pretty much do the exact same thing. Many people swear on AWeber, GetResponse, and iContact. However there are a few other companies which are getting the run off since a lot of them had problems with these three companies. So if you have found yourself to be in their boat, you might want to dig deeper and see if you can find any new startups.
